What we see in Reading homes and offices

Reading property stock is mixed, so the right fixings change street by street. Older terraces in central Reading and Caversham tend to be lath and plaster, which is beautiful but unforgiving. We use larger washers and longer fixings to spread the load properly. Newer developments around Green Park and Lower Earley are mostly metal-stud plasterboard, which needs Gripit or Toggler fixings for anything above 5kg. The big Edwardian villas along Bath Road handle pretty much anything, although the cornicing means a couple of millimetres’ precision matters when lining up gallery walls. Whatever the wall, we bring the right fixings.

On site, we agree placement before anything goes up. Pencil marks, eye-line checked, every piece sighted and checked.

Install

We hang, level, tidy up, and walk you through the result. You sign off when you're happy.
