Greenwich’s residential character runs along Royal Hill, Crooms Hill and the network of Victorian terraced streets between the park and the town centre. These are family homes — well-kept period properties with original cornicing, picture rails still in place on some walls, and high ceilings that reward confident artwork placement. East Greenwich adds a further pocket of family residential on the other side of the town centre, closer to the Thames.
Crooms Hill, running alongside the western edge of Greenwich Park, is SE10’s most distinctive street. Georgian and early Victorian townhouses with exceptional proportions, original fireplaces and the kind of wall space that calls for a considered gallery hang rather than a single piece above a sofa. We use longer fixings and the correct masonry bit at low speed on original lath and plaster, and will hang from original picture rails where they’re sound.
The maritime heritage of the area — the Royal Naval College, the National Maritime Museum and the surrounding buildings — generates occasional commercial and institutional work. Method statements, RAMS and insurance certificates supplied as required for any managed estate or heritage property. We always confirm wall construction before drilling, whatever the building.
